Small Rooms Are Harder
Than Big Ones
Scale
Right-Sized Sound
A 40-person basement does not need a club rig, and putting one in ruins the night. Our DJs bring what the room takes and nothing more, which also keeps your neighbours out of it.

You Know Everyone
At a private party the DJ is playing to a guest list, not a demographic. That means paying attention to who is actually dancing and adjusting inside three records.
Logistics
Real-World Load-In
Rowhouse stairs, a basement with one outlet, a backyard with no cover. Say what the space is in your brief and you get a DJ who has already solved it.
Discretion
Quiet Professionalism
Private means private. Our DJs arrive, set up, work, and leave without turning your event into content, unless you have asked them to.

Private Event DJ FAQ
Plenty on this roster will, and it is one of the most requested bookings we see. Say the guest count and the space in the brief so you get matched with someone whose setup fits a living room rather than a ballroom.
Usually not for a private party. Most of our DJs own a system sized for exactly this and bring it. Each profile lists the gear that DJ owns, so you can see before you ask.
Real risk in Montgomery County, Arlington, and most DC rowhouse neighbourhoods, where the ordinance tightens at 10pm. Tell the DJ your cutoff and they will build the night to peak before it rather than get shut down at it.
Three to four hours is standard, with extensions agreed on the night or in advance. The DJ sets their own rate for that and you agree it with them directly. We take no commission.
